Immekus Dismissed From Team March 6, 2013
I honestly don’t know how to do this. And I fully realize the irony wrapped within “blogger trying to gain credibility by breaking a story openly admits he has no idea what he is doing”. But I’m always open and honest here. See: not posting my postgame story last night because it was so excuse-riddled and awful.
ANYWAY, starting kicker Nick Immekus has been dismissed from the team. A kind tweeterer – @michaelellars – pointed me to the fact that Immekus wasn’t listed on the roster. So I contacted the school and found out that he’s been dismissed from the team for an unspecified violation of team rules.
I don’t know much more than that, other than the fact that this happened some time earlier this spring and wasn’t a recent violation. When Immekus was injured last year, Taylor Zalewski was the starting kicker, so I expect a camp battle between walkon Zalweski and scholarship kicker Ryan Frain (who redshirted last year).

I, for one, would have liked to see what your postgame story said regardless of how bad you thought it was. I clicked on your site before my coffee was even done brewing because I wanted to see what humor you could inject into last night’s performance! Certainly the 12 blocks against stat deserved some sort of analysis. Ouch.
