What I Know About Him:

I know he was Arkansas QB Tyler Wilson’s top target in high school.  I know that he was (is?) dating Bruce Weber’s daughter.  I know that I don’t want these posts to turn into TMZ, so I think I’ll stick to football.

Harris was a bit of an unheralded recruit coming out of high school, but halfway through his freshman year, he had his redshirt pulled and suddenly he’s catching a touchdown pass in the Minnesota game.  Last year was hit or miss, as Harris had a fantastic Northwestern game (6 catches for 63 yards including, if I’m remembering correctly, catches on three consecutive plays as we started our comeback), but then disappeared in games like Wisconsin and Michigan.  He was only a true sophomore, though, so here’s hoping he takes a big step forward this fall.

What I Expect From Him:

This is more of a “what I want” than a “what I expect”, but I want 40 catches.  We need him to take a step forward this year – we need all three juniors (Millines, Lankford, and Harris) to take a step forward – if we’re going to get this offense on track.  I came up to Rantoul looking for a fourth receiver, and I didn’t really find one.  So it looks like Darius, Ryan, and Spencer will have to carry the load.

40 catches, let’s say 419 yards, and 4 touchdowns.  Done.
